About VLHS

Purpose and Mission
Valley Lutheran High School provides a foundation for a life of faith, learning and service through a biblical, Christ-centered, college preparatory education and Christian relationships.

History of Valley Lutheran
Valley Lutheran High School is one of approximately 100 Lutheran high schools throughout the United States. Valley Lutheran offers a quality Christ centered education in a loving nurturing environment. The educational program at Valley is rooted in the 450 year Lutheran tradition of preparing young people for active roles as God's servants in our society. In the Phoenix area, VLHS is the continuation of a dream that began in the late 1970's which led to the opening of the school in 1981. The school is operated under the auspices of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, by an association of Lutheran churches.

Accreditation
Valley Lutheran is regionally accredited as a college preparatory school by the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement and has also received National Lutheran Schools Accreditation.
