Giving to VLHS
Help Students Attend Valley... and Save Money at Tax Time
The Valley Lutheran Scholarship Organization provides scholarships to students attending Valley Lutheran High School and Christ Lutheran School. In addition to being deductible on your federal tax return, if you are an Arizona tax payer, you can earn a dollar-for-dollar tax credit on your state tax return. Please note that donations to the VLSO can not be made through our online payments website. For more information, and a donation form, please click here.
Corporation Scholarship Tax Credit
Valley Lutheran High School is a qualified school to receive Corporate Tax Donations. This is only available to C-corporations and they must be pre-approved. This is quite different from an individual donation. For more information about Corporate Tax Donations, click here. If you are a corporation who is ready to make a donation, click here to learn more about the procedure. If you still have questions concerning a Corporation Scholarship Tax credit, please feel free to contact our Business Office at 602-230-1600 x111. |
Annual Fund
Are you looking for some way to share an annual gift with Valley Lutheran High School?
For years Valley Lutheran High School (VLHS) has provided quality, Christian education at an affordable price here in the Valley. As tuition and costs continue to rise there is an ongoing need for annual gifts (annual fund) to support the operations of the school so that we can continue the quality Christian education you are accustomed to receiving.
Your help is needed on an annual basis to help keep tuition costs as affordable as possible, so that we may reach all of the students God is bringing to our doors with a high quality educational program in a Christian setting. Please consider Valley Lutheran High School as you plan your future (annual) giving. For more information or to visit with someone regarding your annual giving wishes, contact Mr. Robert Koehne, VLHS Principal at 602-230-1600, ext.120 or email at rkoehne@vlhs.org.

Click here to view a complete list of what's available. Click here for an order form which you can turn in to the front office with your payment. You may also pay online by clicking here using your checking or savings account, but please do not use a credit card when paying for scrip orders. Questions? See Alyssa in the front office.

Recycle your used inkjet, toner cartridges or electronics
For many years, Valley Lutheran High School has accepted your used ink cartridges, cellphones, and electronics for recycling. Valley Lutheran receives money for your donations, and you rest easy knowing that your used equipment is being kept out of the landfill.
Effective immediately, we are NO LONGER ACCEPTING LASER CARTRIDGES. Thank you to those of you who have brought your cartridges in the past. You will find that many laser cartridges include prepaid shipping labels that allow you to return the cartridge to the manufacturer.
We do still welcome many other items, including:
CELL PHONES: We accept and receive payment for all cell phones we collect. Please note that while we gladly accept and recycle batteries, other accessories can not be recycled.
INKJET CARTRIDGES: We accept and receive payment for all inkjet cartridges we collect, as long as they have not been refilled or remanufactured.
LAPTOP/NOTEBOOK COMPUTERS: We accept any laptop computer, except those that are Pentium II or older, even if it is broken or damaged! If your laptop is a fairly recent model, we may put it to use on campus as part of our on-campus technology program. Otherwise, your laptop will be recycled (and we’ll earn money for technology by recycling your laptop). Please don’t forget to include the power supply when recycling your laptop. If you desire, you may remove your hard drive prior to recycling the laptop, but please keep the hard drive enclosure intact.
IPADS AND TABLETS: We accept all iPads and tablets, even if they are broken or damaged. Please be sure to include any accessories such as the power cord.
APPLE IPODS: We accept all Apple iPods, even if they are broken or damaged. Please be sure to include any accessories such as the charger cord and battery (if applicable)
DIGITAL CAMERAS: We accept all digital cameras, even if they are broken or damaged. Please be sure to include battery and charger if possible.
OTHER COMPUTER EQUIPMENT: If you have other computer equipment you think we may be able to use, including computers, monitors, and laser printers, please feel free to contact Rick Scholz, rscholz@vlhs.org with a description. If we can’t use it, we can recommend a worthwhile local charity that can use it, and has dropoff locations around the valley. Please note that we are typically unable to use inkjet printers on campus.
Your recycled electronics can be dropped of in the school office. If you have any questions, please contact Rick Scholz at rick@vlhs.org.
