Seasons Change

People who don't live in Phoenix think that our seasons don't really change. They think we are warm all year round and miss out on what much of the country experiences. In some ways they are right, but in other ways they are very wrong. Over the last two weeks we have felt the season begin to change here in Phoenix. All of a sudden when we went out in the morning the air felt light and cool. Mornings that just a few days ago were in the mid 80's are now in the upper 60's or low 70's.

While people from other parts of the country don't understand how we see seasons change, we have a completely different perspective. Many people are experiencing a drop in temperature and know very soon they will endure cold, snow, ice and a lot of gray skies. We see a drop in temperature as a blessing, and we are about to enter eight months of fantastic outdoor weather.

In the same way, we have seasons change in our lives and as they do our perspective is so important. Are we looking forward to the new season in our lives? Are we anxious or dreading the changes that we know are imminent? If you are in a time of change you can be assured of God's presence and His love for you. Our theme verse for the year starts out, "Let the morning bring me word of Your unfailing love..." Each morning, or new season in life, be assured of God's never ending love and know that He is with you each step of the way.
