Linda Richter

If you contact Valley Lutheran to speak to the Assistant to the Director of Recruitment and the Athletic Director, you will be in touch with Linda Richter, who has been in this position the last four years. Her name will surely be familiar since she and her husband, Joe Richter, came to Valley when it opened in 1981. Their son Ben graduated in 2003 and Matt was a member of the class of 2008.

Mrs. Richter describes working at Valley as a “pleasure” because “I believe in the worth and value of its ministry, am thankful for the wonderful teachers and staff I work with, and enjoy the sense of family that has always been a part of this place.”

She adds that Lutheran schools have been part of the fabric of her entire life. Her father was a Lutheran school teacher and she attended Lutheran schools from kindergarten through college. She graduated from Concordia Nebraska with a BS in Education. She has worked at various Lutheran schools and churches when she wasn’t an at home mom. She was a classroom teacher for grades 1-3 at St. Paul's Lutheran near Green Bay, Wisconsin, and then in Phoenix was a preschool director at Lutheran Church of the Master, school secretary at Martin Luther School and North Valley Christian Academy, and church secretary at Bethel Lutheran.

Joe and Linda love being grandparents and enjoy any time they can spend with Jackson (5) and Ellie (2) who live in Illinois. Her favorite hobby is organizing and she works with people doing that in their homes whenever she gets the chance.
